Since its opening, China-Europe train has been an important trade and logistics channel connecting China and Europe, with a top speed of 120km/h, and it is an international container rail intermodal train between China, Europe and countries along the belt and road initiative. According to Xinhua News Agency on December 5th, from January to November this year, China-Europe trains operated a total of 16,145 trains, delivering 1.749 million TEUs of goods, up 7% and 19% respectively year-on-year, and the comprehensive heavy container rate was 100%, among which the cargo volume exceeded the total in 2022. At present, China-Europe trains have reached 217 cities in 25 European countries.
China-Europe train is another option for container transportation, also known as the Silk Road Railway. Since its operation for 12 and a half years, it has operated more than 78,000 times, becoming the flagship of China’s “the belt and road initiative” initiative. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the “the belt and road initiative” initiative. The China-Europe train has become an important part of the “the belt and road initiative” and a modern interpretation of the ancient Silk Road, aiming at strengthening the trade and interconnection between China and Europe and other areas along the route.
